    I have a program called Morphix and it encodes based on the LAME MP3 codec.


    It will not play on my handheld MP3 player.

    I have a trial of SonicForge XP and the MP3 it makes play fine in both my car and handheld.


    What's the difference, is Sonic using some kind of generic codec.

    no one knows what kind of codec Sonic Forge uses?
