actually, auto selecting audio type is the setting you're suppose to do in the first place...but since that wasn't your problem...
i'm guessing you're using the latest version of dvd2avi...that's been giving ppl lotta sync problems...switch to older version and you should be fine -
accualy it was the forced film... alot of the guides say to force film but for some reason thats what causes it to go out of synch... (some one sent me an email) THANK YOU EVERY ONE FOR YOUR HELP!!!

you're suppose to use force film if the movie is majority FILM, progressive....only turn off force film if the movie is mostly NTSC, interlaced (dvd2avi's info box will tell you that)
not turning on forced film when u're suppose to may affect the quality (and introduce some horizontal interlacing) -
all i know is when it was on it messed with the synch (and the film is suposto be in film not ntsc but.... hay you never know what those crazies who make the dvds are up to)

staticninja, well..like i said..if you have the latest version of dvd2avi, you're gonna get audio sync probs (cuz every1 else has)...so it's prolly better for u if you switch to older version so you can use forced film correctly

Also remeber that the audio file from dvd2avi will have an offest in the filename, this is how out of sync the audio will be and should be used when mulitplexing to keep the audio in sync (usually it's about -80ms, but I've had as high as -270ms)
