    Dear Friends I have an old SONY Handycam DCR-HC36 purchased in 2006.. I have lots of mini DV tapes. Now I m unable to capture video from the handycam to Windows 7 PC.
    USB streaming doesnot work
    Tried WINDV, but no video device found message comes.
    Can any body help ?

    How do you connect it? Just using the USB?

    I'm pretty sure you need to use the IEEe1394/ Firewire/ DV connection.

    "USB streaming" never did work....you must use Firewire.

    To copy recordings from a tape,
    connect your camcorder to the computer with an
    i.LINK cable and use the standard software in
    the OS.
