  1. Hello all.

    I'm new here.

I'm starting a new project of merging menu from a dvd and a video from a ripped bluray.

Explaining the situation more detailed, I want to delete the video, audio and subtitle from a dvd and then add a new stream of video, audio and subtitle.

I searched the forum and google for a while and i couldn't see anyone trying to accomplish what i want. I read a few posts, but they were more related to extract and edit dvd menu.

Can someone guide me to complete this little project?

If this is the wrong section for my question, please move it to the right section of the forum. Thanks.

  2. You're not being all that clear. If you want to use the menu from a DVD, then the end result will be another DVD, right?

So, don't keep just the menu but the whole thing (perhaps minus the 'crap' you don't want). Then convert your Blu-Ray to DVD video without a menu (AvsToDVD is one way), open the original DVD in PGCEdit, highlight the movie, and go File->Replace VTST Titles. PGCEdit will guide you the rest of the way.

If you're not making another DVD then what you want is impossible. If you are making another DVD and you're just starting out all this may be beyond your ability.

  3. So with pgcedit I can remove the video of a dvd?

Well what I really want is to create another dvd. Here is an example to make things clear: I have a fast and furious dvd with an interactive dvd menu. I want to reuse that menu and instead of playing a fast and furious movie, I want to insert movie of Naruto. But the movie of Naruto is in m2ts format.

I don't think I'm trying to make something very advanced here.

  5. If it's really hard to accomplish no problem, I will learn all I have to learn. Just need some guidance here.

If it's impossible, then I'll need some guidance on how to create my own fast and furious interactive dvd menu.

  6. Easiest way: take some menu snapshots with MPC
    Use this: http://tmpgenc.pegasys-inc.com/en/product/taw5.html
You have a 14 day trial. Don't waste it.

You don't want to remove the video of the DVD. After creating the menuless DVD from your M2TS (AvsToDVD), you'll replace the Fast and Furious video with the Naruto DVD using PGCEdit. At most you might want to remove extras and warnings and other stuff you have no use for. VobBlanker is the tool for that.

However, you said this menu was interactive. If that means while the video is playing stuff pops up for you to click on, then forget the whole idea.

You can forget that idea as well.

I have no idea how a Fast and Furious DVD menu would be at all useful for a different film.

It makes more sense to me if you just authored a new dvd from scratch (in an authoring app).
