    hi to every one
    i want to make test file for home theater systems and i want to make a 5.1 sound with 6 mono files.

    Do you have the mono files already? What format are they? Are they all of the same type?
    Which "home theatre systems" are you talking about? - to test WHAT?

    More info needed.

    i dont have the mono files, but i can record them easily
    i can convert the into any desired format
    by home thearte, i mean 5.1 or 7.1 or any surround system to see if the channels of audio is really distinguished and transmitted to right speaker/
    my test will be a voice saying like: front left (for front left channel), front right(for front right channel) and etc.

    No need to re-invent the wheel: just go to this site - http://www.jensign.com/bdp95/7dot1voiced/ and get the test WAV files.

    Use them for WAV playback. If you want AC3 or other versions, just convert to those from the WAV sources - I would suggest LameXP as a simple, straightforward GUI. That would covert most formats except DTS. For that one you can try dcaenc, surcode dts, ffmpeg or others.

    lamexp can not convert multichannel audio correctly, it missed channel 4

    i downloaded ffmpeg-20141223-git-32c836c-win64-static, is it a correct release?
    how do i convert with that?
