  1. I have captured more than 50 videos using Applian Replay Video Capture. Unfortunately, the recordings have serious video/audio sync problems. Video/Audio are synced fine in the beginning, but as time goes on the sync issue gets progressively worse. For example at 40 min, the video lags the audio by about 4 seconds.

The video format and settings doesn't matter.

Applian Tech support has confirmed the issue on some WIN7 systems and suggest that I use Win8 instead. That is currently not an option for me and, besides, I now have more than 50 windows media videos (WMV) that I need to "fix".

Is there some way of fixing this progressive Video/Audio sync issue in my captured WMV files?

You wont find any easy method to fix progressive sync problems. You can try audio editors like goldwave, audacity and cut, stretch the audio but you will spend several hours trying to get it perfect....

I would try find a better solution to record the streaming video.

    According to their web site,

it uses special high quality MPEG-2 and WMV codecs that give perfect looking recordings of videos without freezing up your PC.
For capturing, MPEG-2 should use ONLY I-frames; WMV is a big no-no, because both the ASF container and the WMA format are big PITAs, I mean, it's VERY-easy to get sync issues by using them.

Yes, look for a better software.

I tried MPEG-2, but it made no difference.

I also tried a program called "WM Recorder", but it had the same issue.
Any other "better" ones to recommend?

BTW, I also tried several video "Downloaders" but none of them worked with the website ( www.omnovia.com)
