Help...Philips DVD701AT and SVCD hack...Help

i did the hack for playing SVCD on my philips and the screen turned red and then started rolling. i shut it off and back on and the same thing. i tried to put in a dvd and it is in a different lang. and says somthing about a region code. its hard to read with the screen rolling like it is. please any help is apprecitated.

i got it back by converting it back to region 1.

but any other info on philips would be appreciated. like any way to play PAL and NTSC?

if your DVD player doesn't advertise or report it can do it, check the list at this site.

If it can't do, it can't do it. Hacks to play new media don't seem to work well. U would need new firmware and possibly a whole new decoder board.

Alot of DVD's can play PAL movies, so see if ur's has a switch.

If not, I'm sorry.

Oh, and new DVD's have some kind of region tech that asks if the machine is region "0"
