I've had great success with DVD2SVCD 1.0.7 B4, however yesterday I had an issue where it created a BIN file that was over 869,000,000 bytes. I was able to tell Nero (5.5.8.0) to do an Overburn, but the disk was not readable afterwards (I attempted many burns at many dif speeds, and dif media types, all w/no luck). Normally the largest SVCD bin file I've burned was just shy of 850,000,000 bytes. Has anyone else experienced similar issues? Perhaps the new release (which I plan to try) doesn't have this issue, which is perhaps a calculation to know how many cd images to create.

I also noticed that the cue files looked incorrect, with only a few index entries. I was able to burn the CD1 image with no issues, even with what looked like a bad cue file. That bin was just over 845,000,000 bytes. I used Daemon Tools to mount the 2nd image, and there were no problems, so this must mean that the image is simply too large for a normal 80 min cd, even w/overburn on.

  2. Hi Jerry, I have had the EXACT same problem .. 2 movies have done it to me Dracula2000 and blade too. I have tried so many combinations and still keep gettng the same thing! I wonder if this is something with the build of dvd2svcd.

  3. read the readme.txt in the new build...he says he fixed the calc bug.
Most likely you didn't have cd overlap checked. Usually that would fix it. Regardless try the new build 1.0.8 build 1

I will try the new build on the same movie this weekend.

The other issue I've had is glitches near the end of the movie on my Apex AD-1100w. We're talking like the last 5 minutes or less of the movie on that particular disk. I believe this might be an issue the dvd drive in the Apex has with the BLACK media I've been burning to.

Slowing the burn speed helped some, but I still see issues.
I'm going to try more reflective media to see if it makes a difference.
The symptoms don't appear at all on my computer's dvd-rom drive.
