MadVR crashes when I go to full screen ... Only does it with SD video

Hello everyone,

I'm experiencing a strange issue with MadVR and MPC-HC while playing a SD video of any kind. When I go to full screen, it freezes and generates an error message:


I have my MadVR configured following this tutorial.

I have 2 instances of MPC-HC installed, one for 25fps>24fps conversion using reclock, and one configured for bitstream. Both use MadVR, and videos crash the same way in either one.

From turning on and off various settings, I've narrowed it down to the Image Upscaling setting in MadVR. If I put it on any other setting than DXVA, it causes the crash:


The bizarre thing is, it only crashes on any video under 720p resolution, regardless of format.

Does anyone know why this would happen, or anything else I could try?

Well after formatting my entire computer, and reinstalling everything from scratch, it fixed the issue. I still have no idea what would have caused it.

Hi,
You are using a built-in graphics accelerator? I had a similar problem on the built-in Intel (Update the driver).
