MEncoder RTL Subtitle problem

persian and arabic texts are connected together but mencoder show them seperated one by one like
س.ل.ا.م (without '.') instead سلام is ther any way to tell mencoder its a rtl text i am using this code:

mencoder input.mkv -sub input.srt -subfont-text-scale 3.0 -subpos 95 -sub-bg-alpha 50 -utf8 -o encoded.avi -oac mp3lame -ovc lavc

Convert the .SRT file to .SSA or .ASS (encoded in UTF-16), and then try again.

Make sure you have an up-to-date build of Mencoder.

If it still doesn't work, then use Avisynth + VSFilter.DLL --- both Mencoder and ffmpeg can read AVS files.
