  1. On the product comparison page, MP3-Write support for the DVR-A04 (same as 104) is greyed out with a question mark, indicating that it's unknown.

Has anyone had success burning MP3 files to a CD using this burner?

    Thanks,
    Jeff

  2. MP3 burning is a software issue, not a hardware one. Any burner that can output a data CD, can write MP3s. If you're talking about creating an audio CD from MP3 files, that again is a function of software.

  3. Makes sense. Any idea why this particular function would be listed as Unknown (greyed out) in the product comparison page? It seems to be the only difference between the A03 and the A04.

  5. If you look at the other selections, everything else is either a physical disc type, like CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R, or a data format, like VCD, SVCD, Data, and ACD (I'm assuming that means audio CD). Since MP3s are going to be written to either a data or an audio CD, it doesn't make sense to list it as a separate write format. It looks like they just used the same list for both reading and writing support. Whether a player can play MP3s is a valid test.

I own a DVR-103 and have burned numerous cds, cdrw's, and DVD-RWs with MP3s. No problem at all.
