  1. Hi guys, I couldn't find my problem anywhere on google, first time that ever occured.

I recently (few hours ago lol) started video editing for my beginning youtube channel.
However, I can't seem to insert a png file without a background (transparent) into my video.

This is what happens in the video editor when I import the png image (Pinnacle Studio Ultimate btw):

This is how I want it to be (I made this with photoshop, not the video editor ofc, to show you what I mean):

Do video editors not support this? Is there another way around? Is it just Pinnacle Studio Ultimate not supporting this?
Help me please! I'm pretty sure it's something simple lmao

  3. Practically all video editors support png with alpha channel

The alpha channel might have to be "interpreted" or enabled in your editor. I don't use Pinnacle, but check to see if there are other options in the settings; maybe try right clicking the png in the clip bin for other options, or on the track

upload the png here and we'll see if it has a clear background.

    Something like this might work...

(sorry if it's a little rough around the edges - was a quick & dirty job)

    That does work indeed
How did u remove the background? I made it transparent with an online image editor, maybe that's where it goes wrong for me.

  7. That seems to be a jpg on tinypic (no alpha). You can try uploading it directly to this site, maybe tinypic is doing a conversion

When you used that "online image editor" before , you would have to make sure to save it out as png with alpha channel (RGB+A), not just a "regular" PNG (RGB)

There are free image editors you can use too like GIMP

Here is a cleaned up version, I'm assuming you wanted Black text

Just so you know, Gimp and Paint.NET are two very good free image editors that can do this very easily.
Got my retirement plans all set. Looks like I only have to work another 5 years after I die........
