Burned DVD keeps freezing during playback

Are you by any chance applying paper labels to these discs? If so, this could cause these problems. Removal is usually easy. Just soak in warm water and carefully peel and scrape with fingernails or other soft scraper. I have had this occur and after label removal, the discs played fine.

Judging by the fact your using window vista, it may be a little older computer your using. If your burner is also older and came with the pc then it could be an older Lite-On drive. If so thats probably 95% of your problem. Stay away from Lite-On burners(even new ones). Go get a new $20-$30 burner, just about anyone but Lite-On. I suggest Pioneer.

Also watch out for brands like HP burners which are usually just rebadged Lite-On.

Sorry If I hurt anyones feelings about their Lite-On but I'm just speaking the truth from years of experience.

I've been using a lite-on dvd burner for the last few years with no issues so your statement isn't true for lots of people who use them,it's just the cheap type of dvd that's the problem.

I don't burn DVDs anymore ... but ...

1) for DVD-5 do NOT go over 4464MB for recording or even below that a bit.
2) First make your ISO file. Check it, see if OK
2) Burn ISO file with ImgBurn at 4x speed.

BTW, the BEST bullet-proof dvd-burner was BenQ 1640 and 1650 which they don't make anymore ... and I still have 2, 1 still in the Box.
