  1. On a couple of DVD-R's I'm cleaning up for a friend of mine, there's some spots where there's a metric buttload of what I call "salt-and-pepper" noise. Yeah, it's to be expected from 20 year old VHS recordings from mid-'90s cable, but there are certain spots that make me wonder what the hell happened. As you can see, there are some spots, almost always red/orange, where there's just a swarm of dots, as opposed to the more spaced-out salt-and-pepper noise. Doesn't really bother me too too much, since most of the regular S&P noise comes off with a quick median filter, but I'm just curious as to what caused it.
