Hi, when I use this filter chain on an interlaced material:
Deinterlace (unfold) / Neat Video / Deinterale (fold)
Should I set Neat Video's scan type to progressive or interlaced?

You're making extra work for yourself and trying to second-guess NeatVideo's internal processing.
Forget the fold/unfold business. Take those processes out of the chain. You shouldn't be running other filters in the filter chain with NeatVideo anyway -- The user manual and online FAQs mention this caution several times.
If your video is progressive, set NeatVideo scan type to Progressive. If your video is interlaced or telecined, set NeatVideo scan type to Interlaced. Internally, NeatVideo uses its own field separation algorithm and appears to work in both RGB for some operations and in a proprietary YUV colorspace of its own making. No sense trying to reinvent the wheel, especially since you already paid NeatVideo some $$ to invent it for you.
