  1. I have a video with an off-centered image in it. I would like to use VirtualDub to center that image in the frame. I have downloaded VirtualDub. My video files are Windos Media Audio/Video file. I cannot open them in VirtualDub. If I try to convert it to AVI and then open it, it says

"couldn't locate decompressor for format FMP4 (unknown). VirtualDub requires a Video for Windows (VFW) compatible codec to decompress video. DirectShow codecs, such as those used by Windows Media Player, are not suitable."

I am a newbie to this program. I don't know what that means, and all the blogs and videos I have read and watched don't explain thoroughly. Can someone please provide a step by step process? I have looked at the VirtualDub forum on how to open non-avi files in virtualdub. Again, I doesn't explain it very thoroughly and I have no idea what it is saying. Please provide a thorough step by step process.
