So, I have this set of SWF files containing script as well as vector, image and video elements. There's the master SWF which I can load in Potplayer and the whole presentation plays just fine.

Now, I would like to capture this playback from within Potplayer (screencast is last resort), but the video recorder refuses to capture saying that there is no video or audio in the file.

Since Potplayer is able to play the file, can I redirect the renderer to write the decoded/relayed audio/video stream to disk rather than send it to the display driver. I can then transcode the raw uncompressed stream files to whatever. I'm currently using EVR but can use any other renderer if needed.

    Thanks.

  2. Although it is possible to play swf files in potplayer, it comes from adobe flash in your system. To capture anything, there should be a directshow filter chain belongs to potplayer and it may not be possible to play swf files containing script in directshow. You can confirm this by checking the filter list in potplayer while playing any swf tiles.

You can still use potplayer as a screen recorder as potplayer has the function too but you need to run another instance.
