Hi there!
I am trying to encode Divx files to MPEG and I always get color blurs at certain points of the movies that haven't been there in the DivX file. The color blurs last for about 20 seconds increasing in saturation and then suddenly drop back to the normal good picture quality.
I tried TMPEG and CCE with various different settings. I don't have those problems when I directly convert from DVD using DVD2SVCD.
Under properties of my DivX movies Windows tells me the codec is "Angelpotion". Could that be a problem?
Anybody any ideas?
Thanx.

Angelpotion is often a headache; uninstall it and see if the situation improves. If not, reinstall it and look for something else.
As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war." -
In Tmpgenc - options - VFAPI plug-in
disable AVI2(OpenDML) File Reader and enable DirectShow Multimedia instead.
This solved the same problem for me.
good luck.
