  1. i've written a program for windows called wtv2chromcast. It takes all the wtv-files present in the folder where the program resides and converts them to mp4 if you opt for burned in subtitles or to mkv in case you want to embed them (which by the way is the only choice you have to make while running this program.

    It uses ffmpeg and mkvtoolnix which must be downloaded seperatly.

    The videfiles that are produced are nearly the same quality as the imput wtv-file and you can play them on your pc or on your tv and chromecast.
    The original wtv files remain, they only get the .bak extension
    My question is : what to do next in order to distribute this little gem which by the way is freeware.

    1. Scan it with www.virustotal.com
    2. Upload to file sharing site or attach in a post in our forum.
    3. Make a simple web page with information about the software or post a thread in our forum or some wtv specific forum.
