  1. Have a number of video files
    mp4, DV or Lagartith in .avi container
    in the main 720 x 567 25fps PAL

    I want to play these via my PVR (HDR-FOX T2) which has ability to take USB input, so using a USB stick would be ideal.

    However as I understand it Humax unit will only accept video in .ts container.

    What is best (simplest & free) way to convert to .ts

    I have VD, Sony Vegas, Cinema HD4 or is there some simple programme for this.

    Just downloaded Wondershare VideoConverter (free) to try that.

    UPDATE > WONDERSHARE worked fine, automatically adapting to input files and cresting .ts outputs. End result played on HD is very good, PVR is up-scaling very well over HDMI
