I have the MicomSoft XCAPTURE-1 USB3 capture device for capturing Wii U, XBOX 360 and XBOX ONE game play sessions, due to no capture devices on the market supporting multichannel (5.1, 7.1 etc) audio capture over HDMI i had to find a solution to be able to play my games in multichannel 5.1 whilst being able to capture all the game audio channels.
I was experiencing missing audio channels (mainly vocal audio) when i had my consoles set to 5.1 and trying to capture, this is how i found out about no capture devices being able to capture 5.1 over HDMI, i found this a real pain as if i wanted to get correct audio over my captures (no missing channels, ie vocals) then i would have to set my consoles to output 2 channel stereo and who wants to play games in stereo in 2014 when you have a capable 7.1 av amp at your disposal.
So i came across the FiiO D07 Digital to Analog device,
http://www.fiio.com.cn/products/index.aspx?ID=100000039443512&MenuID=105026003
which allows me to enable 5.1 audio on my consoles whilst still getting all audio channels on my captures, this device will downmix the audio to 2 channel and thus sending a 2 channel audio signal to my capture device. My actual capture set up is....
TV
A/V AMP
6x2 HDMI Matrix ('HDMI output A' to my AMP and then to TV and 'HDMI Output B' to my Capture Deivce)
Consoles
Im now noticing that im getting approx 500m/s of audio lag since using the FiiO D07 device, im not sure if this is the D07 causing the lag or because im using digital (HDMI) for the video and analog (phono connections) for the audio?. I dont get audio sync issues when im using Digital (HDMI) for BOTH video and audio however.
Is there a setting in AmaRec that can bring forward the audio at all?. I should note that im using the latest version of AmaRec 3.10c.....or though i notice that on the AmaRec site they dont even have the latest version and are still displaying 2.31c!!?

Yeah i can do that in avisynth (AvsPmod) but ideally i need to know the excat delay as at the moment im just guessing. Is there a program that can analyse the capture file and actually compare the video to the audio to give me that info. I know VirtualDub can get file info but doesnt support avi file types

Thanks, but is there a program that does it by number/value, i dont know if you can compare the data/frames from the video and audio and can see the different and then know exactly what value to alter the audio to match the video....im guessing there is now shared data between the 2 that can be used as an easy comparison?
I have a test capture of just shooting a gun and have run that through MPCHC and altered the delay but after a few seconds you eyes and ears start playing tricks on you on weather its synced up or not -

Yeah i know that but i mean actual comparing the numbers for example...
video 4000 frames
audio 3500 frames
then i would know exactly what the delay was, i know audio and video dont share the same type of value as frames but as an example. Using MPCHC i think its about 400 m/s looking at lip sync but as said above the more you look at it them more it plays tricks on you.
I just hope whatever is causing the delay its a constant number and never varies, otherwise each time i think a capture i would have to run it through MPCHC and try and match it up
