  1. I just want to make sure I'm doing things correctly. Here's what I have available (latest versions):
    1) AnyDVD HD
    2) Virtual Clone Drive
    3) Handbrake
    4) MakeMKV
    5) ImgBurn

I've looked thru the forums and the most recent posts are several years old which why I'm making this post. I've created mkv files for storage on my WD MyCloud for playback thru WD TV Live Streaming.

Is it better to go straight from disk, or convert to iso then to mkv. Does mkv still not include chapters? I saw it was proposed to be included.
Should mount the disk using Virtual Clone drive or just open the dsk from withing Handbrake / MakeMKV?

FWIW - I could never get the files to play on the Hopper from my Seagate GoFlex Home NAS . Figure that.

I would use MakeMKV. It rips and remuxes(no video/audio shrinking) the dvd to a single mkv with chapters.

But I have no idea how well it works with wdtv live.
