We are putting together some DVD's that we intend to sell. We are burning with the Pioneer A04 and want to stick with the name brand media.
I know that there are player that the discs will not be compatable, but I want to keep our returns to a minimum. Would burning the discs at 1x give us a more reliable end product? We used the Pioneer discs that came with the drive and had some that skipped on some (but not all) players.
Also, when a player is "incompatable", does that mean that the discs are completely rejected? Or are there players that are just so prone to skipping as to be incompatable?
Lastly, I just ordered a bunch of Verbatum discs. Does anyone have experience with these?
Thanks.

Judging from making VCD's, I would burn them at 1X instead of 2X to increase compatibility with marginal (old) DVD players.
