In virtualdub audio codecs list, I see the MPEG Layer-3 2 times. One is populated with the usual format anyone can expect, but the other one is empty. Anyone has an answer for this ?

The 'empty' one is the one included by default with Windows, as far as I recall, and is basically intended more for playback than encoding - which is why you don't get that many options for use with encoding. If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them?
is there any way to remove it from the audio compression ? or just as I understands...forget it lol
