I'm trying to find the best solution to fit a 23 minute video on a 80Min CD-R. I captured the video with my DC30 (756x576) from a perfect pal vhs tape. What is the best solution ?!?
Mpeg2, 720x576, and the bitrate ?!?
Mpeg2, 480x576, and the bitrate ?!?
other possibilities ?!?
It would be better if the final result is standard (ex.: svcd, miniDVD).
Thanx by now for helping me!!!!

Depends on your player... if it can play non-standard resolutions and non-standard bitrates.
I usually do 480x480, 2500-2600 CBR. You get pretty good quality and it'll take most of your CD. -
What is a good "standard" choice ?!?
What about a miniDVD, in your opinion ?!?
I'm trying to find something better than a SVCD .... -
You said pal VHS!! right? Just use mpeg 2 encoding at 480 x 576 2600 mbs. SVCD is better quality then vhs and less hassle then mini-dvd authoring.
