    Hi all,

OK, I have recovered some video from a corrupted SD Card, the video has been recovered into very short files and there are 6,140 files, they are all .mpg files and named Movie-00001.mpg, Movie-00002.mpg... etc. and are all in sequence. The duration is shown as 00:00 but they do play briefly probably 1 sec or slightly less, so I kind of have an image sequence, but instead of jpgs I have mpg files. The file resolution is 720 x 576 @25 fps and each file is approx 300 - 400KB.

I have tried to compile them into a video using a windows 8.1 machine as I find windows seems to handle mpgs better than mac software, using Wondershare Video Editor (WVE) but it looks like a charlie chaplin movie. I have exported the movie as an MP4 file with these default settings

    Video encoder: H.264 Normal
    Resolution: 720 x 576
    Frame rate: 25 fps
    Bit rate: 4000kbps

    Audio Encoder: AAC Audio
    Sample rate: 44100 Hz
    Channel: 2 channels stereo
    Bit rate 160 kbps

Its like each clip plays too long or there are bits missing from between each file or each file is static and you are flicking through still images. I have created a sample to show you what I mean: Click here to view the exported video

What did you use to 'recover' the video ?

No reason using correct software that you should not have had a complete video and not fragments. The audio appears complete but the video is shorter.

Also post a mediainfo report (text mode) of one of those mpeg files.
