Currently using Radeon HD 5770 1GB graphics and would like something that will speedup video processing a bit on the cheap.
Cuda etc is supposed to help but is it dependent on the software being aware of the cards' capability?
I use Staxrip and VirtualDub a lot and don't know if they would benefit.

This card seems reasonably priced, even though the mini hdmi connector is a bit of a turn off (is that the new standard?).

  2. No, Staxrip or VirtualDub won't benefit from card upgrade as none of those use GPU for any operation.

If you put racing tires on a Toyota is it going to help?
