If "demux" is an abbreviation for demultiplex (i.e. separate audio from video) then I'm at loss when prompted to select an audio stream during a conversion process.
A movie I'm converting with AVStoDVD has two audio streams: one is the original audio stream and the other a copy that I corrected for AV asynchrony. No worries, I checked the box for the corrected audio, leaving the original one unchecked. But then I see a box for "Demux."
Do I check the "Demux" box, even though the original, out-of-sync track is not selected? If I do check the box for "Demux," will AVStoDVD demultiplex'separate the selected audio stream?

What is the source material format ie MKV or MP4 or what. The more information you provide will assist in a sensible answer.

G'day mate.
I solved the problem. I realized that I had forgotten to demux the source file, so when I went to add the AV sync-corrected audio stream, the original was still there, presenting me with a choice. What confused me is that the term "Demux" is sometimes used loosely, in this case demux meant to multiplex, since I was adding audio to video. But thanks for offering to lend a hand. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Just for clarity: if you leave the option "demux" disabled, then AVStoDVD will decode/encode directly the audio track from the source container (avi, mkv, whatever). If you toggle on "demux" option, then AVStoDVD will first demux the audio track and then use the separate audio file for the encoding process.

Thanks for the info. I'm very grateful to you.
