  1. Dear Forum members
I have a dvd I want to change to a file. The dvd has the option to display subtitles in English or not. On the file I produce I would like to have the subtitles present.
Please can anyone advise can I do this and if so what procedure.
    Yours with thanks

  2. First rip your DVD (making a HDD copy without copyright/region restrictions) with DVD Fab or AnyDVD or re-mux it to a MKV container witke MakeMKV. For older DVD's you could also use DVD Decrypter.

Then use either HandBrake or Vidcoder to re-encode with hardcoded (Called Burn-in in HB/VC) subtitles.

  3. Dear Sir
Thank you for your kind advice. I have successfully done it using exactly your procedure.
Handbrake and any dvd are good.
    Best wishes
