    ok, so its my first time trying to rip a dvd, but im trying to get some of this stuff to work i have the vobs on my computer got that far now i need to convert them to avi but all the help files are for outdated softwhere or some that don't like my computer i am currently using dvd2avi v1.76 oncei get past the converting to avi im home free i know how to do the rest... but could some one help me im not sure of the settings i need or perhaps and refer me to a program they know about that i can use... help

  2. when u say u want to convert to .avi, does that mean you wanna compress to DivX? dvd2avi doesn't do that.....

    no i don't use divx i have plenty of hard drive space i want raw data uncompressed then im going to use TEMPGenc to encode it into mpeg

  4. If you're wanting to know the settings for dvd2avi, look at Sefys how to guide. For the settings in TMPEG, look at the "how to get 120 min.s on 1 cd" thread in the newbie forum. Download and try Kwags template. It's works great for me with a little modification here and there depending on the movie I'm converting.
