  1. Hi, I sould have a question for **** only

    I need to convert a .mxf file that are 4:2:0 into a 4:2:2 avi output file, of course I have to avoid the chroma ghosts and artifacts dunring conversion

    to open the source file I use the ffmpeg plugin for virtualdub v0.8.1.4

    In avisynth this function was do by the "ConvertToYUY2(interlaced=true)"

    but in Virtualdub? thanks

  2. This is example of 4:2:0 HD .mxf file ^^

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/njv10z9sb4o5enx/HD420.MXF?dl=0

    please I would like to do this in virtualdub:

    1) convert to 4:2:2 uncompressed avi with a correct procedure that avoid chroma ghost
    2) resize to 720x576 using lanczos
    3) convert from rec.709 -->rec.601 (source .mxf is 709)

    please can u help cat?

  3. if this 4:2:0 --> 4:2:2 is chroma subsampling color format then it is absolutely useless such conversion, you will get no more colors in output file nor video quality will be better

    input file is 8 bit (4:2:0) so making it 10 bit (4:2:2) is very wrong thing, pointless
