and when i extract video and ac3 file from 0.avi with avidemux then i can import them separately. but after importing audio and video in timeline audio length not same with video.

  2. Open 1.avi in avidemux
    set Video output to Copy
set Audio output to PCM (wav) or MP3
    save AVI
Open saved AVI in adobe premiere pro

yeah i know this. i know that it can be imported with this way but i want to know what is the problem? why 0.avi with ac3 audio can be imported but 1.avi with ac3 audio cant? and what is interesting that the codecs are the same. and another thing is that i dont want to convert audio because it will loose quality.

Probably the problematic software was designed to "think" that AC3 can only mean *5.1 channels at 448kbps*

If I were you, I would stop using Adobe Premiere

but i can import any ac3 audio without video. and that is the only software that can render video with x264 codec with gpu. i mean it is faster. in sony vegas i can render with x264 but it doesnt use gpu. yeah there is CUDA H.264/AVC from mainconcept in sony vegas but it doesn't give good results as x264vfw codec. you saying it is probably designed to "think" that AC3 can only mean *5.1 channels at 448kbps* but i wish i know it for sure and i would find another way. and cyberlink powerdirector12 is not satisfying me either. i can't set custom resolution and bit rate in cyberlink and cant enable hardware acceleration. it seems my gpu is not supported(nvidia geforce gt 520m). what to do?

  8. Your second file has two audio streams. Did you try do remux file and remove one stream?

And a probable reason AC3 audio is shorter when you import it separately is audio delay. Just check if audio is in sync with video. If its not, shift audio until it gets back in sync.

yes i did it. i removed 1 audio stream and muxed. but didn't work. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RQLXN4_ZDko
and how to shift audio like in original file? i think there must be some software that shows where audio begins(how much i must shift).

  10. MediaInfo log you posted show audio delay of 32ms. Try that. But the best way to sync is visual - listen the sound and watch when someone speaks. When you import muxed AV streams program should read delay from container. But, when you import audio and video separately then you need to manually shift audio for correct synchronization.

Strange thing is that AP supports separate AC3 stream but not one muxed into AVI container. So, ether you AP really does not support AC3 into AVI or your AVI is badly muxed. Did you try to remux your AVI with VirtualDub or AviMux GUI?

BTW, from your post#5, x264 does not use GPU for encoding, and certainly not x264VFW version. There is OpencCL accelerated code but it only accelerates lookahead part and that won't save you much of encoding time.

yeah gpu rendering is slower than cpu but anyway doesn't that mean x264vfw can use gpu?
    Quote Quote
  12. but in sony vegas the difference is 5 minutes(x264vfw). cpu won
    Quote Quote
  13. No, x264VFW does not use GPU. Your program probably uses GPU for decoding and difference comes from copying data from RAM to VRAM and vice versa.

I have Intel G3220 with IGPU. I tried VidCoder with DXVA decoding and it came slower compared to pure CPU decoding + CPU encoding due to slow data transfer.

BTW, you can configure x264VFW to use faster settings and get faster encoding speed.

doesn't fast encoding make quality low?
btw mediainfo shows wrong audio delay. i shifted audio 32 ms but didn't work. and i only changed ac3 from 448 kbps to 384 and now i can import django0.avi to adobe premiere.

  15. sorry. i was wrong. this is not why it worked. right now i encoded ac3 in avidemux to ac3(aften) at 448 kbps and again i can import it.
    Quote Quote
  16. It does, but if you use settings that will make your encode finish 2x faster quality won't be 2x lower. And you can compensate that by increasing bitrate a little.

  17. why when i mux avc1 and ac3 with avidemux into avi container there is audio delay about 150 ms?
they are not separate files. i cut it from mkv file.

maybe it is because avi not good container for h264?

does "Interleave, duration" in mediainfo show audio delay? if it does then it shows that wrong. i don't want to shift audio visually beacuse i want it's original synchronization. is there another tool that shows audio delay?
