  2. Why do you want to switch, because it's EOL or because its inadequate? If the former, it's still available here: http://vreveal.en.softonic.com/

Avisynth can probably do as good or better a job, but there's a lot more learning involved.

    smrpix,

Thanks for your answer. I don't know anything about Avisynt yet...

Do you know if Avisynth can help me improve or fix errors of old VHS homemade films (like horizontal lines, audio noises, complete black images [when cameraman forget the camera and records the floor])?

Has scripts already made for fix these problems?

    Has Avisynth a manual?

    Thank you again!

    What kind of horizontal lines?

No - use something like Audacity or any of several audio editors to clean up sound.

No - nobody's software can create a video from "no video". If the camera guy made a video of the floor, that's what you get. You can't blame software for that. See God.

Yes and No - depends on what you want to do and which filters you use.

Yes. A complete guide to all functions and features with thousands of examples is installed with the software and is also available online. There is also documentation for at least 200 Avisynth filters and utilities, 12 or more years of web archives of thousands of web pages and project solutions on the internet, and several hundred threads in this forum that show how video problems were fixed with Avisynth.
