    Hello!
I have this movie that is hardsubbed but the subtitles are not synchronized with the movie. Is there some way I can fix the subtitles without changing the Movie quality?

Hardsubbing means that the subtitles are actually a part of the video data/images itself, and nothing can be done without re-encoding the video and altering the way it looks.

Are you sure you're not using 'hardsub' to refer to a switchable subtitle stream stored within the video container (MKV, for example)? I've seen some do that in the past.

If you don't want to alter the video, you can try running soft subtitles with a solid black background over the existing subtitles... but it could still well look terrible (and won't really help the out-of-sync subs they're covering).

Hmmm...I say "hardsub" because there is no external subtitles file. I just play the video and the subs are in there. It's an MKV file, by the way. Oh now that I have just checked it, it is switchable subtitle stream stored within the MKV.

  4. Then you extract the subtitles with MKVExtractGUI2 and synchronize it to the movie with Subtitle Edit.
