    Hi Guys,

Please, I'm trying to read one DVD that I recorded five years ago, using my Pioneer and LG writers (software that I'm using: ImgBurn), however it didn't work. So, I tried once again with my Playstation 3 and it worked. Although, it can read only the menu of DVD, but can't read the videos. The DVD media hasn't any scratch or dust.

Has some software that can read the DVD media data in a forced way?

Because I want to pick up the DVD data and record it in a Blu-ray media.

    Thank you very much!

IIRC dvddecrypter does have a force mode when it rips.

    Or you can try isobuster.

Or you could have used crap media and now, 5 years later, oops!!!
And if on your PS3 you can not actually watch or get the video but just the menus then no, it did not work!!

You can try what DB83 wrote and hope you can get what you need off the disc(s).

I have had good luck with ISOBuster, but two more programs members here have suggested in the past for copying difficult discs are Roadkil's Unstoppable Copier and CD Roller.

  5. You can also try copying the disc with Windows Explorer. Just a normal copy and paste. I assume there's no copy protection?

Sometimes when a disc is hard to read, one drive will be able to read parts of it but not others, while (with any luck) a different drive might be able to read different parts. I've managed to copy problem discs that way before, using different drives. Of course the disc may simply be unreadable....

  6. I've never used it myself but ISOPuzzle might be worth a try.
