is this dvcd anything close to vcd, svcd or xvcd. I'm confuse.....

I think it stands for double vcd. Basically its a regularaly encoded vcd movie but on a single disk. They are made by having the cd pressor press data beyond where it normally is, or perhaps by using a special pressing media that just has more capacity.
The closest equivalent to a dvcd that you would be able to make would be to burn a vcd on 90 or 99 min media. -
I heard somewhere that the Bug's Life VCD is actually a DVCD. Also in some ads for DVD players they have under features that it is compatible with DVCD

No, like I said a dvcd is a regularly encoded vcd just on higher capacity media. They aren't higher definition than a regular vcd and they are actually fairly popular in China. They are basically a 2 disk vcd put onto a single cd, one way or another.
