He said "m2v is totally fine". So I assume that it's the correct length ?

Thank you guys for being patient and helping me. It's basically an AME bug. I did the .m2v file with it and an .wav file with AE which I later converted to .ac3 with TAudioConverter. It worked fine and since this is an AME bug, I guess this third wasn't pointless since a lot of people will have this problem if they use the software

  3. raudbul, glad you got your problem sorted. But I would point out that thousands of people use AME every day, amateurs and pros alike, without encountering your issues.

We still don't know the details of your source, or how you manipulated it in AE. But as I said, glad you got it sorted.

I know he said the m2v was fine.

I was just trying to discover a correalation to the quoted 'fact' that the program pooped beyond an hour of source.

That, in itself, is illogical, so clearly the OP has done something wrong and it may be so simple that he simply looks over it.

Crazy as it sounds, I imagined the m2v at max bitrate so the program could not fit the audio and just encoded one hour correctly which is approx what one could fit on a single-layer disk at max bitrate.

Point of interest. There is no need to use a secondary program to convert that wav. If you import the m2v and the PCM wav into avstodvd you can select the final audio format there and that will convert to ac3 for you.

I am a newbie in video editing and it really is not that friendly with the new guys ... maybe, one day I'll now what actually caused the problem and laugh at myself really hard.

I will try to make the bitrate of video as low as possible and tell you what I got Maybe, tomorrow. Thanks for sticking with me until the end (ik that sounded a bit weird).
