    the bottom of the videos are cut off why is this

    nope because i tested the vhs player and same tape on another capture card and its fine but its really old so i cant use it with windows 7 and the pc that its on is too slow to capture video


    check the pic half the video is cut off

    is the easy cap ntsc only ??? or something could this be why it cuts off half the video because the vhs player i use is pal

  6. Yes, there's your problem. Your capturing a 576 line source with 480 lines.

    thanks do you know any good apps to cap in 576?

  8. I use VDub on my PAL tapes and have no problem capturing 720x576.

    Your software should have a PAL ie 720*576 setting.

    But I see you are using Win7 so you may have a cheap rip-off easycap with suspect drivers.

  11. If there is not PAL setting try setting the device to 720x576, 25 fps.
