I hope that VideoHelp also includes help with movies on DVD.
I have commercial movies on DVD that I have purchased and would like to be able to select out favorite scenes (edit?), then accumulate my favorites and write them to a CD or DVD for playback.
Are there any recommended free software packages that would enable me to do this?

    Thank you for your guidance.

    Why?

Rip them to your HDD and use free tools like MpegStreamClip or AviDemux to extract sections you want. Make sure to cut on Key-Frames.
Got my retirement plans all set. Looks like I only have to work another 5 years after I die........
