I have the surface pro 2. I'll get the 3 in a few months.
Think about your full blown editing computer booting up in less than 10 seconds!! I love the thing, and I also have the docking station too, so I have a 24" monitor with it. I'll get the same specs for the 3 that I have for my current 2. i5, 8Gb RAM, 512Gb SSD, 256Gb micro SD, 2Tb external USB3 drive.
I had a Dell Venue but sent it back because it's not as good. Problems with touch screen and keyboard being flaky.
Oh and don't get the 256Gb SSD, it's just not quite big enough, even if you have a 256Gb microSD installed. The first set of Pro 2s that I ordered were all i5, 4Gb RAM, 256Gb and no microSD...They're all running out of space now. -
I picked up my SP3 i7/256GB today.
Yo, Stilt, I love it! It has to be the 9th Wonder in the world. I don't know how they did it. I'm blown away.
Thanks for the memory tip, but I can't afford the Full Monte (512SSD). I'll just use an external drive no problem. I'm setting it up right now so I'll get back here later...
P.S. My tablet has a friggin 8GB of RAM. More than my desktop!!!! -

So far, the SP3 does work very well. It really IS a laptop replacement.
Imagine using Gimp, InkScape, OpenOffice, PhoShop, and every other Windows software you currently have, anywhere you want. Let that sink in for a minute. Real software that really does what you want. Not skeleton software that Google uses to spy and steal your info for free.
Not a toy, like Android and ChromeOS. Those are simpleton tools designed for the unwashed masses. You can't simplify real software into something down and dirty. It's like the old saying "Piss on my head then tell me it's raining".
I can't imagine creating a bid, flyer, presentation, or any business documents with Google Docs, hahaha. That's just a joke.
EDIT: Whoops, I went off the deep end.Last edited by budwzr; 12th Aug 2014 at 12:12.

Ah yes, It must be nice to be at the top of your game because non of us unwashed NEED to CREATE using just ol'junk tablets with that nasty Android toy OS.
Last time I created anything of significance was at 7am and it went zooming back to the city holding tanks.
Guess I'll go back to sleep now and that's not a joke. -
I can make art with two beer cans and some chicken wire too. That's not the point.

I find it odd that socks that have no difference have a L/R marked on them, but what about shoes? They don't have that. Labelled shoes would be laughed out of the store as idiotic. Yet someone at Russell Athletic thought we needed that on our socks? Just for looks?
-
No, No, No..Look again at post #16, you can clearly see the difference between left and right socks. They are not the same. That's why they are marked L & R on each sock. They fit the contour of your toes properly when put on the correct foot.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence -Carl Sagan -
The answer is easy: the engraved L and R make the difference!
-
Hey, somebody blasphemized my sock picture. That's an interesting shot. Did you have to lay under the bench a long time? Hahahaha
-
There's an easy solution.
Carefully locate the two socks with a 'R' on them and store them away. Despite what it says on the tin, these are not the right ones for this test.
