  1. I just started to use videostudio 6 by ulead and every time i capture something even if its 10 seconds the output size comes out 60mb for 10 seconds alone. I lowered the resolution to the smallest possible and its still kinda big and looks horrible unless i bring it up to 352x480. can someone help me out

    chronic3010,

You can capture in many different digital video formats depending on what you will be doing with the captured video.

If you're capturing in uncompressed AVI, yes, your captured file size is going to be HUGE and this format is not appropriated for long captures. A 10 second clip with a frame size of 352 x 480 uncompressed AVI, on my machine is 103 mb's. However, capturing directly to MPEG-1, 352 x 240 frame size, @ 2300 kbps, the 10 second clip is 3.3 mb's.

Your post doesn't address what you're going to be doing with the captured video. There are to many options for me to speculate.

Good luck, and if you re-post with a little more detail I can give better specific information as I use VideoStudio 6.0 all the time.
