Regarding Flash live media encoder

Hello ,
I need some info on flme .
We are using blackmagic atem m/e 4k to send a video stream to flme , audio is being sent from a mixing desk @ 24bit 48k .
Encoding to 1280 x 1080 , h.246 and aac .
3.4 i7 mac mini ( not my choice ) .
I'm trying to limit cpu usage as , for some reason , as the cpu goes over 50% it crashes.

a few questions ......

Flme is running as 32bit , my research suggests this is what it does (is this correct) and i am considering obs as an option when it's available .

The crash after 50% cpu usage suggests flme is not utilising hyper threading properly . I've maxed out all cores in cpu testing and all seems fine ?

Does flme deal with 24bit audio ...

If I up encoder samplerate to 48k from 44k is less cpu work done ( sure this will help but no asking anyway).

Crashes how? Reboot?
Maybe overheating problems.

Or software crashes?
