  1. I have a tv show that has subtitles that can be disabled. I'm trying to encode the episodes from 1080p to 720p to make them a smaller file size. I got the videos to encode to a much smaller size with good quality, but the subtitles are not there? How can I use file batch to encode the videos and make staxrip encode the subtitles with it?

I don't think staxrip can keep the subs easily. I would try vidcoder instead. Under subtitle -> edit see if you can copy the sub tracks.

Or add/mux the subtitles with a separate multiplexer after you converter, mkvtoolnix for mkv, mymp4boxgui for mp4.
