    Hi.

I was told that TMPEG encoder acceptas ProRes422 as a source and does a good job encoding H264 output. But when I downloaded and tested it, it looked and felt like the ages olg version supporting only MPEG1 and -2 and some "traditional" sources.

Have I missed or misunderstood something? What multicore encoder for that kind of an encoding work would you recommend? It's just for a back up use so low price would be good.

    Thanks!

  2. Do you mean version 2.5? Absolutely not. Try handbrake.

    Thanks!

Handbrake seems to be very fast making very smooth result.

If someone else has any further ideas, I'll be happy to hear.
