Better to be pissed off than pissed on, I always say........

I think the bird flipping animation would look cool if after a few flips, the chicken would lay a cracked egg and it would start to fry.
Got my retirement plans all set. Looks like I only have to work another 5 years after I die........

I'm gonna go ahead and say that's pretty darn good. I'm going to invite racer to the devil club by PM.

  4. The bird was a deformer test . Notice when he hits the pan , he gets "fatter" ? It's subtle but that's the effect of a "jiggle" deformer

The 2nd one was a head "transplant" test . If you look closely, the hand textures don't quite match up with the face textures in terms of skin tones (hands are a bit too "reddish" )

Good idea! I'll try to do something

It appears that someone has forgotten what The First Rule of SIC™ is ?

Here is a quick test on egg cracking . It looks like s/he is shatting the egg LOL

The last 2 were dynamics simulation tests - (where you have objects interacting with each other, like the soap vs. frying pan ; and here the egg shell vs. frying pan)

And I think Dodo's are flightless birds , but this one is special apparently

Hey, I like that. That can be the SiC animated logo. No response on my invite so I guess the DevilClub isn't that hot or elite.

I was on Vacay to Laughlin, NV. Threw a few slots, did some boozing, ate a chicken fried steak, etc.

Hair dynamics (pig tails and "cowlick" are hair simulations) . I think the pig tails are still too "lively" and need more mass in the physics calculations

Shader testing , "toon" shader vs. "plastic" shader; Toon shader is brighter, doesn't accept shadows as readily - but I think it's more appropriate look for this type of toon

Holy Smokes Batman!!!!! She's perfect. How the hell can a computer software make something like that? And her name's "Daphni"? That's the perfect name too.

And she's got that freakish "come hither" look on her face. (That we all like).

What? Too "PG-13" for this site ?

It's actually the same model (Daphni) from the earlier melons / buns , just different hair and lighting . It could be improved by animating the hair and bikini ties, but I didn't have time

And speaking of Batman - we need a DevilDude sign that you can shine in the air, like Commisioner Gordon does with the Batsign . I was thinking of putting devildude on the pasties

    It looks better backwards.

  21. Daphni is back with some hip action

Some clothing with more support - The pasties before just couldn't contain the girls

    1) Indoor lighting test
    2) Reflective material with environment mapping test

Could be improved with hair movement and better hand animation, but I didn't have time to do the fininshing touches.

I was a doorman at a disco back in the 70's. (True Story). The girls used sewing thread wrapped around their nips. Keeps the aireolas smaller. THEN they glue the pasties on.
    Quote Quote
  23. I noticed a problem with the clothing on the last one - the neck buckle deforms at the end (it bends/conforms it's shape to the neck, as if it were fabric - but a buckle should be more rigid)

Hahaha ... Did you help them with that? Or did you get any "favors" from the girls letting them ahead of the line ??

Maybe some 70's disco animations for the next one...

You forgot to use aperature blur. A Hitchchock Zoom would stay focused on the subject, but create a surreal background.

  26. Yes, you're right - I should have enabled it and used a lower f stop .

Here is a "fake" after-the-render version using a depth map

But this shot isn't set up to be that conducive for that effect - the back wall is too close in proximity to the subject so you have a narrow region / focal plane. An "infinite" open background outdoors with more objects at different distances would have been better

Nice! Hahaha. Very nice. Oh, wait a minute, the faux blur isn't enough.

  28. Not enough blur ?

Well that's one benefit of adding it in "post" - it's not "baked in" so you can just dial the blur up or down or whatever. It gives you more flexibility. The negative is it's not quite as "authentic" as doing it with a 3d camera in a 3d program (or a real camera setup , of course). But blur alone isn't going to make the look - you need objects at farther distance

I like the jaws one where the background just "caves" in .

Yeah man, that's an extreme example. Very theatrical. I'm a fan of Hitchkock too. There's probably at least a dozen ways to get the word "kokk" into a post. You could put "caughk" even. And "pussee" too. Or "pussey", hahaha.

Kind of ironic that the only censorship ends up being people's names. hahaha. Hey, I'm getting paranoid now. Hope they don't throw me out for anarchism.

I want to delete this post before one of the mods discovers it and decides to make an example out of me.

That doorman job was the best job a young 20ish good-lookin' feller could get. Girls, girls, girls, bottle clubs, then wake up and do it again. Any problems and I just buzz for "Big Mike". Never had to do combat.

When Big Mike puts his hand in his pocket while he's talking to you, he's putting on a set of brass knucks.

    Holy Schitte, I'm OT.
