  1. Anyone that can give me an advice please do so. I am very new to burning VCDs so I will try to include all the info needed for someone to help me. I have about 6 movies. Some are NTSC some are NTSC Film and others are PAL. I use TEMPEnc v. 2.53 to encode these movies which I thinkare all in DIVX to MPEG1 I believe using the corresponding VCD Template. So far my audio has worked on the finished file but one time I had to save a wav using Virtual Dub and then use taht as the audio source. I dont know waht setting to change to fit these movies on one VCD so I jsut cut them in half using TEMPEnc. I then burn the movies to Disc using Nero and I DO NOT get a thei cd will not be Standard Compliant warning so i figure it shoudl work. Well once done with the VCD it works fine in the comp from what i can tell but on my APex player i get a small problem. It plays beautifully but for a couple secs throughout the movie the audio and video get off track in all 5 of my VCDs. The video will speed up for a sec then then slow down a sec later so the audio can catch up. This only happens once every couple minutes and lasts a couple seconds but it is quite annoying. Can anyone please help me as I have a bunch of VCDs I would like to make.... Please help.. Thankyou

I am having the same problem, and have asked for help as well. Problem is, I think this has been addressed so many times, people are reluctant to post the same answer.

If I figure this out, I will email you. Do the same, as well, if you would. Thanks, and good luck.

  3. I too have had that problem with apex. My movies were in film 23.76 What I did was I took the same avi file and encoded to 29.97 keep audio at 224. The playback was perfect. I have done this to several 23.76 ntsc film's. They all have worked like a champ.

  4. Well I will try that but I dont think all my movies that did that were in NTSC Film but maybe.... Also I have Fast and the Furious and it only did it once the entire second disc while Meet the Parents and Saving Silverman did it numerious times... Then after rewinding to the same spot it would do it elsewhere. Heres another problem I have if anyone out there can help. I have tried encoding Gladiator without first ripping the audio and with first ripping the audio using VDub. But no matter what when I play it I the sound is a little ahead of the video... Is there some easy way to fix this without going through and cutting off the beginning of one of the two which seems to be difficult? Heres the info on the movie. MPEG-1 640x272 29.97fps CBR 1150kbps, Layer-2 44100Hz 192kbps
Any ideas? Thanks... It doesnt seem as noticable on the computer as once i burn it to a VCD and watch it on TV but it still is. THanks again

  5. Check your the sampling frequency.. If its 48 hz then keep it that way.. if its 44 hz then keep it that way.. This worked for me. Most of my divx's are in 48 hz so when i tried to convert them to mpeg-1 they went outta sync..

    Hope this helps......

    tks
