I do casual programing in Delphi 3/6.
Does anybody's know where I can go to get information
on:
- VOB - AVI - MPG
* how to extrac the images or frames and sound source
I don't care much for the macrovision or encryption
source. I'm not trying to create any of these
kinds of apps. I just wanna be able to open these
files and through Delphi, view the source video/audio
in my own window (of any size), etc.
- CAPTURING -
* how to create an app for capturing w/avi attached or
utilize the mpeg encoders and codecs
- MP3 -
* how to open and play these files via my own Delphi app.
I figure someone here has dabbled (not dazzle) in this area
and can point me in a few directions.
I've exhausted all my efforts, using search engines, but
they haven't giving me anything good to go on. I'm hoping
that this site will produce better results.
I'm hoping for some good response - Any!
Oh, yes... thank you, thank you!!

i am kinda having the same problem except i use visual basic the best info i could find after endless searching for any info on mpeg and vobs is on doom9 web site.
On doom9's website, in the download section, at the bottom there is a link to a page with tons of source code and a link to more information about programming
Also i believe there is some information on the directX documentation using directshow filters.
good luck on your programming quest....
