I go to:
http://video.pbs.org/program/newshour/
and choose one of the news programs.
I have a unregistered copy of Internet Download Manager and when I start one of the news programs, the following rtmp instantly appears
(see screenshot):
If I paste that into notepad, I get this:
rtmp://sdwfchwqitj2v.cloudfront.net/cfx/st//mp4:videos/newshour/bc896c0c-1adc-41b3-a767-dfa47dde0287/127177/hd-mezzanine-16x9/pnwe000163_forweb-16x9-mp4-400k.mp4
This is what I want, but I don't want to use Internet Download Manager to get it. I tried URL Snooper2, but that gave me a much shorter (different) rtmp. Orbit picked up nothing. Is there a free software that can easily give me the above rtmp (must end in mp4)? If so, can you please show me how to use it.
I don't want to download it at this point. I just want the rtmp.

You could download with rtmpdump;
Code:rtmpdump -r "rtmp://sdwfchwqitj2v.cloudfront.net/cfx/st" -a "cfx/st" -y "mp4:videos/newshour/bc896c0c-1adc-41b3-a767-dfa47dde0287/127177/hd-mezzanine-16x9/pnwe000163_forweb-16x9-mp4-400k.mp4" -o "pnwe000163_forweb-16x9-mp4-400k.flv"
