I am considering buying cyberlink powerproducer 6 for my new bluray burner I just bought.
Does it do any reencoding of level 4 h264 files?
Specifically any created by the hauppauge hdpvr 2? (I have the gaming edition plus model 1504)
I haven't bought any authoring software since tmpengc dvd author 2 so I'm a bit out of the loop.
I know that tda 2 wouldn't reencode any dvd compliant mpeg 2 files. Does powerproducer 6 also leave bluray compliant files alone?
Here are the specs for the captured file from a hdpvr2 (my dvr out is set to 720p fyi):

Would this be reencoded by powerproducer 6?
I wouldn't want any unnecessary encoding if I can get away with it. I'd like to plug it and make my menus and all of that jazz.
Thanks for the suggestions.
And if powerproducer 6 does reencode please kindly suggest a bluray authoring package that would create menus without reencoding the above file (I'm looking to not spend over 50.00 usd or around there).
Thanks.
Edit - just to clarify I am going to make BLURAY DISCS (not avchd and not simply a data file burn) from the above captured file (well more like them not that particular test file).

Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw? -
Try multiavchd,it does menus,i wouldn't use or buy any cyberlink since it's crap and they use cinavia in their software player. Can you send a short clip to see what multiavchd does with it.
I think,therefore i am a hamster. -
It did it with a 20 second clip. There was a mention of transcoding somewhere even though I swear I didn't click the transcode button on the video tab of multiavchd. IT might have been for the menu only. Here is the log file -

So does this mean it DID NOT transcode the original h264 file?
I got a basic menu and I did not do any chapters since it was so short.Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw? -
It wasn't encoded, you will get a message if the file need to be re-encoded.
