This is a generic circuit diagram for CCFL inverters for things like LCD backlights. I found it on Mouser Electronic's online catalog section for inverters. However I can't quite figure out how it works. I assume part of it is used as an oscilator, and the transformer probably forms both a step-up mechanism and also part of the oscillator. But I'm not really sure how it works. If someone with knowledge of electronics is on here, I invite them to post in this thread.
